Welcome to the website of the Yevpak family, missionaries in Ukraine! We moved to Cherkasy in 2009 to work with "Kreativity" Mission, sharing the love of Jesus with young people of this city. Caroline has always felt called to work overseas, whilst Viktor feels called to make a difference in his home country. We met in Budapest in 2006 where Viktor was getting his masters and PHD in Law and Caroline was working for an oil company. There we were involved in an international Christian fellowship, joining the leadership team in 2008. In 2009 we felt that the time was right to move back to Ukraine and join the ministry projects going on there. Please click on the video to see an overview of the ministry projects.
What is Mission?
Mission is social action. Our main goal is to share the love of Jesus through acts of kindness and involvement in the life of our local community. We build relationships and introduce people to our Lord, as well as give them jobs, support them and assist with their needs.
"Kreativity" Mission was founded by David and Katya Bute in 2001 as a challenge to Ukrainians to be missionaries. The goal "Mission Impossible" was to send one person to Tanzania. In the end enough money was raised to send 4 people! Each year Mission Impossible takes on a new theme to reach out to the young people in the city of Cherkasy and around the world. Teams have since been on short term mission trips to Kenya, Siberia, Tajikistan, South Africa, Nepal and Belarus, and various projects have also been undertaken in Ukraine at the same time. This year Mission Impossible celebrates it's 10th anniversary with the grand project of Christian "Survivor". Please see below for all of Kreativity's projects. Various businesses have also been set up in Cherkasy, all the profits from which go directly into the ministry. The businesses include ekreative (website design), spohad (photo studio) and kafe kreative.
The Teddy Bear Club provides an opportunity for mums and toddlers to meet, play and encourage each other.
A group of young mums, mostly non-christian, bring their young children to get together, have fun, play games and even learn some English. They talk about life, faith and everything in between. It's noisy, it's chaotic and it works.
We believe that spending time together in fun activities is as important as worship and bible study. These are all part of christian fellowship.
In 2007 the people who are involved in kreativity mission decided to start yet another endeavor. A brand new church. A community of believers who would meet every Sunday for worship and study how God's word is relevant to our daily lives. During the week we meet in small groups called "terminals". The name course2819 is taken from the Great Commission of Jesus proclaimed in Matthew 28:19. Our goal is not to have just one church but to start a church planting movement.
Each summer we have participants coming from many different countries and communication can be an issue. In 2009, it was decided to run a language camp to encourage those wishing to take part in the mission project to learn some of the language. People came from the UK and US to learn russian, whilst Ukrainians also came along to learn some english. The first one took place in January 2010 and the next is planned for December 26, 2010 - January 2, 2011.
Mission Impossible Extreme is for those who want to do something longer than the summer project. We have non-Ukrainian missionaries come to Cherkasy, and we send out Ukrainians to other locations, for six months, a year, or longer.
